Tom Forst 2018 China Tour
Blues Hall of Fame guitarist Tom "The Suit" Forst came for his first tour in China in December 2018. Because Tom came to China solo, MusicDish*China brought together leading Chinese musicians to form his band for the tour. Overall, he performed 7 shows in 7 cities.
* MusicDish*China arranged for a one-week "Garage Residency Project" at the beachside resort Aranya in Beidaihe with bass player Wang Zhang, guitarist Robin and drummer Joni Geller to develop and rehearse the material for the subsequent tour
* MusicDish*China arranged an in-studio interview with broadcast station Beijing Radio International
* Tom would perform in 4 cities with his Chinese band across China, including Beijing, Huizhou, Guangzhou and Shenzhen
* Tom also played solo shows in 3 cities, including Nanjing, Kunming and Lijiang
* Tom gave a guitar masterclass at the Rhythm Art Cultural Center in Kunming
* During Tom's stay in Yunnan province, MusicDish*China organized a 'cultural exchange' with Manhu, a band of the ethnic Sammi people, which culminated a jam session concert in Shilin
